STEM Corner is: Student written and edited

What we've been up to:

Coming up: Currently, Mrs. Shermer's class is work with the Big Bear Municipal Water District to raise trout fish from trout eggs. As the fish grow, we will observe the cycle of fish growth and we will also be taught how to take care of the fish, including feeding and cleaning the aquarium. As soon as the trout grow large enough, we will release them into the Big Bear lake.

Students in Mrs. Shermer's STEM class made Oobleck, a non-Newtonian fluid to study the physical properties of matter.

On October 2nd 2014, the 8th grade STEM class went to JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) and took a tour of the site. JPL is where the space exploration devices are made and sent to Florida for launching into space. We really enjoyed the trip and we are very thankful that we got this opportunity.

Recently students in Mrs. Licona's Social Studies class had a project where we had to take information from the US Constitution and put it into a children's book. We included the Preamble, the seven Articles, and the Amendments, including the Bill of Rights.
