Big Bear Middle School and all schools in the Bear Valley Unified School District has extended its closure through May 1, 2020. Student work has been created and shared with students via Google Classroom, Haiku, and in packet form for the two weeks of March 16-27. Students are considered "on vacation" for the weeks of March 30-April 10. On April 13, all students will be expected to continue learning through distance learning methods, including continued use of Google Classroom and Haiku, as well as meeting platforms, such as Google Meet and Zoom. Some students are familiar with these meeting tools and have been using them this week with their teachers. For students who are having difficulty accessing Google Classroom or Haiku, we recommend emailing your teachers for support. You may contact staff members using the email addresses on our staff page.
