BBMS Weekly Update!

Cub Families,

We’re heading into an important week at BBMS: Conference Week! Conferences are a great opportunity for students, families, and teachers to come together, celebrate progress, discuss challenges, and plan for continued success. School will be dismissed at 11:42AM each day next week.

If you haven’t signed up for a conference yet, please visit the BBMS website to choose a time. We strongly encourage families to bring their students to the conference. Middle school is a time when students need to take more ownership of their learning, and being part of the conversation helps them understand where they are, where they want to go, and how we can work together to get them there. It truly takes all of us working together to help our Cubs succeed!

Due to conferences, there will be no after-school programs next week, including Homework Club, Exploration Club, or Athletic Club. Some athletic teams may still have practices scheduled. Student-athletes should check directly with their coaches for information about practice days and times. All athletes will be released from practice to attend their conferences.

Our Scholastic Book Fair will also be happening next week! The Book Fair is our biggest fundraiser for the BBMS Library, and we hope our students will take some time to browse and find a great book, or two, to enjoy over Fall Break. There’s nothing better than heading into two weeks off with a good book waiting to be read!

One more exciting note: Our BBMS Cross Country runners will compete in the League Finals on Thursday, October 1st at 3:00PM at Silverado High School. We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work they have put in this season. We wish all of our runners the best of luck as they hit the course and race to bring the championship banners to Big Bear! Go Cubs!
